Rose and I have had sheep for nearly 40 years, although we have had Scottish Blackface Sheep only since 2016. Looking toward retirement we decided to make the switch to Scotties part of our retirement plans. In 2019 we sold our farm in northwest Pennsylvania and made the move, with our sheep, to Floyd County, Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were drawn to this area in part to be closer to our children, but also because of the beauty of the mountains. We are located just about a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
